OSS brought a new experience to residents of The Court at Barrhaven Retirement Residence with Elaine Klimasko’s masterful, inspiring and engaging violin masterclass. The students and parents present learned so much both by participating and observing, and left feeling greatly inspired. The residents were enthralled with the whole experience. The final question from the residents was “When are you coming back?” Special thanks to the City of Ottawa for awarding OSS a grant in support of this wonderful initiative in the community.OSS brought a new experience to residents of The Court at Barrhaven Retirement Residence with Elaine Klimasko’s masterful, inspiring and engaging violin masterclass. Yet again Ron has outgrown his violin, so he and his teacher, Rosemarie Klimasko, went shopping! Ron first started with a 1/8 size, then graduated to a 1/4 size, then a 1/2 size, and now it’s time for a 3/4 size. He and his teacher found the perfect violin, which was a bit of a step up from his earlier basic student violins.
