Ottawa Suzuki Strings wishes to invite Ottawa-area intermediate and advanced violin and viola students (ages 10 – 18) who wish participate - to apply to perform in the upcoming Ottawa Suzuki Strings Masterclass Series.
A Masterclass is both a concert and a public lesson. The student performs a polished piece with an accompanist, then the masterclass teacher will work with that student on stage. A masterclass being "open to the public" is an invitation for you to come and watch. Thus, this is not the same as being selected to perform through the application process. Everyone is welcome to come as an audience member.
It is extremely rare that these types of classes are open for intermediate students to apply. Intermediate in this case means at the end of Suzuki Bk5 or above. If you have questions about your eligibility to apply please consult your private teacher.
For the audience, the series is free and open to the public. Click here for details.
Note: New Application Deadline - April 5, 2013
