Guitar Performance Group

Founded by former faculty member Adam Cicchillitti in 2017, the Guitar Performance Group is Ottawa Suzuki Strings’ premiere guitar ensemble and one of the highest performing youth guitar ensembles in Canada. The “GPG” meets regularly with their coach, Nathan Bredeson, on Monday evenings to drill technique and refine the nuances of ensemble playing. Their repertoire pulls from many different styles and influences, including Classical, Latin, and Flamenco, as well as soundtracks from the students’ favorite films and video games. The ensemble performs regularly in some of Ottawa’s hottest guitar events, such as the Ottawa Guitar Society Gala Night and the Guitar Alla Grande Festival. Entry to the GPG is by audition.
